Stop doing this by hand

This calculator uses one product's averages. In a real store, sales velocity and lead times differ per product and per location, and they change every week. Reorderly computes reorder points from your actual Shopify sales — across every product and location — and drafts the purchase orders for you.

FAQ

What is a reorder point?

A reorder point is the stock level at which you should place a new order so you don't run out before it arrives. Below this level, reorder now.

How do you calculate a reorder point?

Reorder point = (average daily sales × lead time in days) + safety stock. Lead time is how long a supplier takes to deliver; safety stock is the buffer for demand spikes or supplier delays.

What is safety stock?

Safety stock is extra inventory held to avoid stockouts when demand is higher than expected or a delivery is late. A common rule is a few days of average sales.

How often should I recalculate reorder points?

Whenever sales velocity or supplier lead times change — seasonality, promotions, or a new supplier. Reorderly recalculates automatically from your real Shopify sales so you don't have to.
